This stylish 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home comfortably sleeps up to 11 guests, offering plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The open living room invites you to unwind in front of a large Smart TV, with plenty of seating and large windows that bring in ample natural light and captivating lake views. The living space flows seamlessly into the fully equipped kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need to prepare family meals, including a Keurig and a drip coffee maker, dishwasher, gas range and oven, and all other cooking essentials. Dining together is easy at the large dining table or outside on the deck, which is perfect for BBQs and overlooks the beachside fire pit. The home is equipped with high-speed wireless internet, central heating & A/C, softened well water, a full-size washer & dryer, and Smart TVs with steaming capabilities. Bedroom Layout: • Main Bedroom (Sleeps 2): King-sized bed, cozy seating area, room darkening privacy shades, Smart TV, dresser, dimmable bedside lamps with USB charging capabilities, and a full ensuite bathroom with a walk-in closet. Plenty of room for a pack-n-play if you’re traveling with an infant. • Queen Bedroom (Sleeps 2): Queen-sized bed, blackout shade, dresser, nightstands, reading lamps with USB charging capabilities, a spacious closet with room for suitcases and clothes hangers, across the hall from a full bathroom. • Double Twin Bedroom (Sleeps 2): Thoughtfully decorated with two plush twin-sized beds, soft pillows, blackout shade, a nightstand, USB/USB-C charging capabilities, and a spacious closet with room to hang clothes or store suitcases, directly next to a full bathroom. • Bunk Bedroom: A very spacious and secluded “second master” bedroom that has a Twin over Full bunk bed with stairs for safety and convenience, next to a full-sized convertible couch with 3” memory foam pad and extra bedding, Smart TV, and cozy reading nook that doubles as a second living space – perfect for kids or a small family with a full ensuite bathroom and walk-in shower. This room also includes a desk and office chair with a lamp to accommodate any remote workspace needs. Plenty of closet space for hanging clothes or storing luggage. Outdoor Fun: The backyard is equipped with a fire pit—perfect for s’mores and star-gazing nights—and a high-performance propane grill ready for cookouts. In addition, guests are welcome to use the provided kayaks (2) and stand-up paddleboards (2) to explore the lake, while the lawn offers plenty of space for yard games or simply relaxing in the sun. Guest watercraft are *not* allowed on Canadian Lakes, but please ask about renting our 22ft. pontoon so you can explore the best part of Canadian Lakes: the water! **Important House Rules** To keep the space enjoyable for everyone, please follow our house rules and respect our peaceful neighborhood: • Quiet Hours: Observed from 10 PM to 8 AM to maintain the tranquility within the community. Our neighbors are wonderful and live here year-round. • No Large Gatherings or Parties: Only registered guests may stay overnight. Please reach out to the host if you plan on having guests over who are not registered on your reservation. The person booking must be 25 or older. • No Smoking Allowed: To maintain a clean and welcoming environment, we do not permit smoking on the property. • Pets: For an additional fee of $150 per dog, per stay, we welcome up to two well-behaved and housebroken dogs under 50 pounds, and ask that you clean up after them, keep them off furniture and on-leash when outside, and bring your own bedding and towels to keep their feet clean. There will be an additional $100 cleaning fee added for excessive pet hair left on bedding or furniture. • Fire Safety: Use the fire pit responsibly on the beach, do not leave the BBQ grill unattended, and please refrain from using fireworks. • Water Safety: Life jackets are provided and required by Canadian Lakes law to be worn when using kayaks, paddleboards, boating, or swimming. Swim at your own risk and ensure children near water are always supervised by an adult. No guest watercraft are allowed in Canadian Lakes. • Trash: Please place full trash bags in the black bin in the garage—never outside, as it attracts wildlife. • Parking: The driveway accommodates up to 4 vehicles. No overnight parking is allowed on the street. • Damage & Theft: We understand accidents happen and things may break or get damaged during your stay. Please do not remove the damaged item(s) or take them home with you in hopes it goes unnoticed - that is called ‘Theft’. Please report any damage incurred to our home or belongings therein ASAP to ensure we have ample time to replace/repair. Failure to do so, could impact the following guest’s stay or result in fines. We kindly ask that all guests respect these guidelines to ensure the best experience for all. ______________________________________ Seasonal & Nearby Activities Canadian Lakes shines year-round, offering ice-skating, cross-country skiing trails, and nearby slopes for winter sports enthusiasts. Ferris State University and other attractions in Big Rapids are a short drive away, making it easy to explore the local charm and adventure options, such as the Big Rapids Riverwalk Trail and Card/Riley Conservation Area. We are also only 30 minutes away from Central Michigan University in Mt. It wouldn’t be a night-out if you didn’t stop for ice cream at one of the three nearest shops – Dockside Ice Cream, Coffee&Cream, and Kings Trading Post. Don’t feel like leaving the house? Walmart & Meijer in Big Rapids both offer ‘same day’ grocery delivery – download their App to start your order or plan ahead and have groceries delivered in time for your arrival. Lakeside Pizza & Grinders is fantastic place to have lunch or dinner delivered from. ______________________________________ Check-Out Process Our check-out time is 10 AM. Before you leave, we just ask that you please start a load of towels in the washer, leave all beds unmade, and run the dishwasher. Staying here gives you access to pristine lake beaches, indoor and outdoor pools, sport courts, and even a golf paradise with three private courses: The Royal, The Highlands, and The Pines. Whether you’re up for a round of golf or prefer to spend the day by the water, these amenities are designed for relaxation and fun. • Private Lake Access: While you have private access to our 60’ of sandy lake frontage just steps outside the home, a short walk to the front of Holiday Island takes you to Holiday Beach, where you can swim or kayak on calm, clean waters. The beaches are sandy and shallow, making them a family-friendly choice for sunbathing, building sandcastles, or splashing in the lake. • Pools and Sports: Guests can use both indoor and outdoor pools (daily guest passes available), perfect for a refreshing swim or keeping kids entertained – the indoor pool area offers a heated pool, hot tub, sauna and locker rooms, right next to a fully-equipped private fitness center. The community also boasts tennis and pickleball courts, a dog park, 9-hole disc golf course, and miles of scenic walking trails. • Fishing and Boating: The lake’s stocked waters make it a great spot for catch-and-release fishing. For an additional fee (please inquire prior to your stay), you may also explore the area on our 22 ft. rental pontoon, which is ideal for leisurely lake cruises or watersports on Canadian Lakes many all-sports lakes.
